“I have always felt supported by everyone I work with, and I can genuinely say, I enjoy coming to work and helping develop the lives of young people and watching them grow into mature young adults”.

Thank you for showing an interest in working at Fulston Manor Academies Trust. I have been at Fulston Manor School since 2007 and during my time here I have seen the school develop into the highly popular and successful institution it has become. We are a small trust, consisting of one secondary and one primary school, committed to providing the best possible education for all the young people within our care. What we do changes lives for the better and all of us recognise the privilege and the responsibility that this gives us.

The school motto, everybody matters, everybody succeeds, everybody helps”, is intended to reflect the individual worth of all within our community. It applies equally to staff as well as students. All staff are provided with the support they need, including mentoring and high-level training. They are encouraged to develop their careers within the school and there are excellent promotion opportunities. All of our current leadership team have been promoted internally and many of our middle leaders started with us as trainees or NQTs.

We do not offer “golden hellos” which tie staff into long-term contracts; instead, we provide a family atmosphere and development programmes which result in staff wanting to stay with us for a long time. We seek talented and committed teachers, who have the highest expectations of both themselves and their students and enjoy working with young people of all abilities and varying needs.

The Fulston family is a very special one, built on the principles of teamwork and care for each other. We would be delighted to share with you the culture that makes our school successful and popular and to give you the opportunity to decide whether you could play a part in creating a better future for all our young people. We are a friendly school and one which understands the need to work together to support each other in reaching our goals.

If you are looking for a career in education, are passionately committed to improving the life chances of young people and are willing to work hard to make this happen, I hope you will want to join us on our mission. You are, of course, extremely welcome to visit at any time before making your decision to apply.
